Do It With Class Youth Theatre Company is seeking a motivated student to support alumni relations and community engagement initiatives. This role focuses on strengthening connections with past participants while enhancing the organization’s communications and outreach efforts.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining an alumni database, conducting outreach to re-engage past participants, and supporting the creation of newsletters, profiles, and other communication materials. The successful candidate will also interview alumni, document their experiences, and contribute to storytelling across digital and print platforms. In addition, the role involves assisting with event promotion and identifying opportunities for alumni involvement through mentorship, workshops, and community activities.
Education level:
Currently in high school (senior level) or post-secondary (college/university)
Studying or interested in communications, marketing, arts administration, nonprofit studies, journalism, or business
Preparation / experience:
Strong writing and communication skills (school projects, blogging, social media, etc.)
Comfortable with basic digital tools (Google Sheets, Canva, email platforms)
Interest in storytelling, community engagement, or the arts
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage information and contacts
Any experience in theatre, clubs, volunteering, or event support is an asset (but not required)

Do It With Class Youth Theatre Company is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Costume Coordinator to support the organization and maintenance of costumes, props, and set pieces. This role plays an essential part in preserving the company’s inventory while supporting upcoming productions.
Key responsibilities include cataloguing and organizing costume and prop inventory, maintaining accurate digital records, and ensuring all items are properly stored and accessible. The successful candidate will assist with inspecting, cleaning, and repairing materials, as well as supporting costume and prop design through research and sourcing. Additional duties include preparing items for productions and helping optimize storage systems for efficiency and longevity.
Education level:
Senior high school student or post-secondary student
Studying or interested in theatre production, technical theatre, stagecraft, costume design, or arts administration
Preparation / experience:
Experience working in theatre production environments (community, educational, or professional), particularly in backstage roles such as wardrobe, props, or stage crew.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to accurately catalogue, label, and maintain inventory systems using spreadsheets or databases.
Experience with or willingness to learn basic archival and documentation practices, including digital record-keeping and photography.
Practical skills in handling, maintaining, and performing minor repairs on costumes, props, or related materials is considered an asset.
Comfortable working in storage environments and assisting with the organization and maintenance of costume and prop storage areas.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with production and design teams.
Effective communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach to supporting production needs.
