PLEASE NOTE: While formal training or experience with live theatre isn’t a requirement for joining Do It With Class, our company is a pre-professional program for youth that produces full-scale musicals every year. Company members must be committed for the entire season.

If a full year commitment is a bit much, or you want to trial Do It With Class program, we recommend you join one of our sessional classes; they are perfect for this!

Please visit Doitwithclass.com/new-classes to register for a sessional class if you choose to go this route. Sessional classes do not require an audition.

This season we are producing three shows! A junior show, The Little Prince, a senior show, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), and a full company show with both junior and senior cast members, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! The junior show will be in November 2024, the senior show in February 2025, and the full company show in late March 2025!

All members of the junior and senior companies are expected to fully commit to participating in every aspect of Do It With Class’ productions, including acting, singing, and dancing. Company members are required to attend all scheduled training (generally one hour on Saturday afternoons for the first six weeks of each show) AND to participate in all scheduled rehearsals. Rehearsals are held weekly on Saturdays and Sundays, with detailed times for the season provided to company members when the new season starts in September.

During show weeks, our company members are required to participate in all six to eight school and public performances, including mid-week daytime performances, as well as all scheduled media events, filming/photographing, and other show-related activities.

Do It With Class is a non-profit organization, and thus leans heavily on parent volunteers for everything from set construction to backstage and front-of-house duties. Each family is a legal member of the company, with opportunities to serve on our volunteer board of directors and participate in our Annual General Meeting (AGM). Joining the company also entails a financial commitment, which helps to cover production and staffing costs.
